Volunteerism in the age of Communitarianism

Even mainline conservative churches have developed an interest in greater participation of members in the life of the church. What has been referred to as shared ministry or the blurring of the line between the clergy and the laity. As this trend grows there is a greater opportunity, even necessity for members of religious congregations to volunteer for a broader range of ministries.
